What are "to-be-built" homes?
They are custom architecturally designed homes specifically designed for the parcels they come with. Each parcel has unique features and these homes are designed to take advantage of and to accentuate these features.Why purchase a "to-be-built" home?
The seller/builder can afford to sell to you at a lower price because interest holding expenses and spec profits are eliminated. In addition, modifications can be made to custom fit your taste which cannot be accomplished with a resale home. Also, the inventory of existing homes on the north coast is very small - increasing the likelihood that you will not find the home that will meet your requirements.Shell house definition
You will on occasion hear the term "shell house" in this section. A shell house is a house that is completed on the exterior (excluding decks, garage, septic, and driveway) and is lockable. The interior of the house has all walls framed, but the interior framing is exposed and the shell does not include plumbing, electrical, insulation, sheet-rock, doors, and cabinets. Furnishings, appliances, and floor coverings (carpet/hardwood) are not included. Financing is available on all shell houses.Pricing Policy
